Congratulations to the three area members who took part at this year’s side saddle classes at Chatsworth International Horse Trials 2023. The ground conditions were less than favourable with incredibly wet weather creating a slippery warming up area and a boggy competing area.
Friday saw the Ridden Side Saddle horse class with 2 of the area members taking 5th and 6th. Competitors wore their traditional turnout of habit with silk hat. Saturday was the Costume Concours D’Elegance Class where 3 of the area members took part taking 1st, 3rd and 4th. In this class competitors wear a historically inspired habit where the entire picture of elegance is taken into consideration for judging. Below are the full results.
