A huge congratulations to the area 19 members who took part in the winter dressage championships on Sunday 2nd April 2023 at Port Royal EEC. All members competed side-ways against astride riders and all came away with placings.
Alex and Shirley took 2nd place in the prelim championships in a large class of 22 combinations. Additionally, Julie and Boris and Jackie and Dunlop competed in the Novice class coming middle of the table against astride riders. Finally, Gill and Storm competed at Elementary level gaining a very respectful score in a class of high level riders. Further information and the full results can be found here.
As well as riding in the main dressage championships, all side saddle riders compete in a league against one another – a huge thank you to Port Royal EEC for facilitating this. Below is the table of results for the side saddle dressage championships.

Henceforth, the next unaffiliated championship held at Port Royal EEC will be their summer championship on 15th October 2023. You need to qualify for this championship receiving a score of over 60% in your chosen dressage level – further information on Port Royal’s website here.
